Yes, it tastes just fine defrosted. We have frozen deli meat before - and we don't like leftovers so if we think it tastes fine my guess is you will agree. :)
Yes, Walmart or any grocery store should shave the meat for free. Although, Sams is the only place I've found a fully cooked turkey breast. But all grocery stores have fully cooked ham.
